Consultant Psychologist ( Full Time/ Part Time - Fort Kochi )
We’re looking for a Consultant Psychologist/ Psychotherapist to lead sessions in person in Fort Kochi/ Mattancherry.

The Happy Space is a growing wellbeing and mental health practice built around the belief that therapy can be ethical, human, creative, trauma-informed and deeply attuned to the person sitting across from us.
Since this is a growing organization this role would be ideal for someone is naturally independent, well organized, takes ownership of their work, communicates proactively and enjoys being part of a growing clinical team.
What you’ll be doing
- Deliver individual psychotherapy sessions in person at our Kochi centre. This is a not an remote role
- Work independently with clients while maintaining high standards of clinical care, ethics and confidentiality
- Our team members are spread out in Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and France – so comfort with connecting virtually with colleagues is crucial. The role reports to the Founder based in Chennai.
- Build thoughtful therapeutic relationships and work comfortably with relational dynamics
- Build corporate case studies and gather analytics for internal insight and marketing
- Co-create and facilitate group therapy, workshops, psychoeducational and learning programs.
- Contribute ideas that make our clinical offerings richer and more relevant to the people we work with
- Participate in supervision, training and ongoing clinical learning as part of a growing team
- Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and follow professional and organisational processes
Educational & Career Experience
- Minimum Master’s degree in Psychology
- 1–2+ years of relevant clinical experience with some additional specialization in specific therapeutic modalities.
- Formal training in Couples / Family Therapy would be a bonus
- Someone who is fluent in English and Malayalam
- Comfortable working with complexity and relational dynamics
- Comfortable managing a caseload independently and keeping sessions, documentation and commitments on track
- Since team members connect virtually someone who values accountability is crucial for us to create a safe and dependable therapeutic environment
- Takes ownership of the day-to-day responsibilities that come with working from a physical centre — including being organised, using office resources with conscientiously
- Can handle sensitive and challenging client enquiries with confidence and professionalism
- Proactively communicates with the internal team on your needs. Eg: Planning your working schedule and leaves ahead, asks for help when needed on time, brings up feedback & challenges openly etc.
- Someone who is self-directed, accountable and dependable — you don’t need to be micromanaged to get things done
- Shows respect for ethical practices, creative forms of work, queer-affirmative, trauma-informed and culturally attuned to clients

Working hours
- Part time – Option 1 – Minimum 3 days a week ( 10.30 am to 7 pm ) including Saturday
- Part time – Option 2 – Monday to Saturday 3.30 to 7.30 pm with Sundays off
- Full time – Monday – Saturday: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM ( Or Tuesday to Sunday and Monday off )
